Hello fellow readers! So lately I’ve been contemplating trying a new website idea. It’ll be one of the more simple ideas I ever come up with, I’m sure. It’s more-so an experiment, if I can sort of say that; an ongoing experiment that I’ll continue to make better over time.

Anyway, let’s get right to it. The new idea is a website that I’d ask people to visit once daily. The reason for that is because the website will consist of only one simple, main page. (There may be other pages, but they won’t be the main focus of the idea here…) Basically I’m going to come up with a new and controversial question/poll once every 24 hours, and people will only have that 24 hour period to visit the site and take part in the polls that take place daily. One poll per day, and the hardest part is, there will only be 2 main options to choose from, with a 3rd option if you are simply ‘unsure’ or you agree with neither option given. (Hoping this option doesn’t get used often, and its button/selector will be smaller than the other two main options.)

I feel that something like this needs to be created. Why? Well, because we need a way for our governments, and our citizens, to be able to see results, live, and unaltered. We need our voices to be heard by those who have the power to make changes that we desire as a nation.

The idea is going to be filled with questions that entertain what the western world – or at least North America – deals with on a day-to-day basis. It’ll be a platform that I hope gets used daily by tens of thousands of users, if not hundreds of thousands. The idea being put in place here will not be of any value to anyone if it isn’t used by a large number of individuals. We all know this. If I recall correctly, the government in parts of Great Britain will not even look at a change.org petition unless it receives over 100,000 signatures, no matter what the main issue of the petition is.

Right now, I’m not sure how I’m going to focus on individual countries. I realize that questions will be different for each. I didn’t want to buy multiple domain names, nor do I want to create multiple websites. I’m hoping there’s some sort of way that I can display different pages to individuals living in different countries. Example, if you live in Canada, you get the Canadian poll, but if you live in the USA, you get the United States poll. That would make things 1,000x easier than any other method I could think of off the top of my head.

With all of that said, I’m pleased to announce that I’ve just purchased [flisten.com]. I hate to be blunt, but when I was searching for domain name ideas, I typed this in to see if it was available with the idea of it actually standing for “Fucking Listen” because, well, I want government and companies and people of power to just listen. But with that said, I’m pleased with how F’listen sounds, too. 😉

Oh, and also, I may not stick to just political-type questions, either. I understand that this may get too boring overtime. I’ll have to try and think of other types of questions to add into the mix. As you can see, this is all a relatively new idea for me. Over time, I will figure these things out, hopefully with the help of friends as well. I realize that the opinions of others is deeply important, but at the same time, not important at all. (It’s confusing, I know, but very true.)

I’m going to try my absolute hardest to make this into something that can actually make a change, but if I can’t, I’ll have comfort in knowing that this domain name only cost me 99 cents. 🙂

Stay tuned for announcements of when it officially goes live, and as always, thanks for reading!!
